Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with the monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II above a date of 1912, the reverse with an inscription of VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT (SERVICE TO THE STATE) within a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 39. 57 mm in diameter, weighing 33. 4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
